Spectator & Walk-Along Policy
Garrison Golf Club Spectator & Walk-Along Policy
To ensure the safety of all patrons, preserve the pace of play, and maintain the integrity of the golfing experience, Garrison Golf Club maintains the following policy regarding spectators and walk-alongs on the golf course:
Policy Overview
Spectators and non-playing walk-alongs are not permitted on the golf course during regular play. All individuals on the course must be registered players with a valid tee time unless prior approval has been granted by Club Management.
Rationale
- Safety: Golf courses present hazards such as errant golf balls, uneven terrain, and moving carts. Non-playing guests may be unaware of these risks and unintentionally place themselves or others in harm's way.
- Pace of Play: Additional individuals within a group can disrupt the flow of play, contributing to delays and negatively impacting the experience for other golfers.
- Course Etiquette: Unfamiliarity with golf etiquette may lead to unintended distractions or interference with play.
- Liability: Garrison Golf Club’s insurance coverage does not extend to non-playing individuals walking the course without proper authorization.
Exceptions
Limited exceptions may be granted with prior approval granted by Club Management.
Enforcement
Course Marshals and staff are authorized to remove any unauthorized spectators or walk-alongs from the course. Groups may be delayed or asked to return to the clubhouse if non-players are found accompanying them without approval.
